I’m writing this after getting bit by my daughter. By the way this isn’t just any bite. It’s a flesh breaking, bruise leaving, teeth imprinting bite. I was trying to cuddle her because she was fuzzy when pain ripped through my arm making me scream aloud as I could. I picked her up. Dropped her in the crib and went outside to calm down. Why, because as a good friend says, Mommy needed a time out. I had wanted to spank her so badly, to teach her not to bite, but instead I left.
Point of the story, parenting is insane. Why do we do this? Really if sex wasn’t so good how many of us would have more then one kid. You live in a fantasy world before you are pregnant and then they come into the world and you are like, “WHAT DID I GET INTO.”
So seriously, today’s rant as a question. Did God make sex good, to get us to keep reproducing because right now, I want to be sterilized? My arm freaking hurts.

Note, I wrote this yesterday. Today she woke up fuzzy so mommy turned on the ever faithful babysitter T.V.

I think a simple, quick reaction to a young toddler biting is good. Moonie hit my face yesterday and I instantly put her on the floor and gave her a stern look and said "Nooo, you don't hit Mama." But I also remember when Enan hit me for the first time as a toddler, I was so shocked I took him directly to his room, put him in the crib for his first time out and walked out of the room. He was very surprised. At that age they're not doing it to hurt, just to see what happens.
