If you need to save money, one way is make your own cleaning products.

If you need to save money, one way is make your own cleaning products.

For example, mix viniger and oil together and you have a pretty nice polisher.

Combine a little dish soap, vinegar, lemon juice and borax and you have a pretty nice floor cleaner.

I could go on and on, but it would take up a huge list so I thought I would provide a link about natural cleaning recipes.

I recommend every mama keep borax in their kitchen. Borax is a natural product that easily replaces comet. All you have to do is read the back of a comet bottle to realize why you shouldn’t use it. I use borax for my shower and it gets rid of mildew quickly, and I don’t have to worry about what is being absorbed into my skin.

According to Clean with Norwex, “EPA studies of human exposure to air pollutants indicate that indoor air levels of many pollutants may be 2-5 times, and occasionally, more than 100 times higher than outdoor levels. Cleaning products and other household products are among the many culprits. (Source: EPA)”

Check out http://www.cleanwithnorwex.ca/cleaning_chemicals.php for more information on why typical household products should be avoided.
